Mediroyal Ulnar Deviation Splint Introduction

Alison Coyle Occupational Therapist and Registered Hand Therapist introduces the Mediroyal NRX Ulnar Deviation splint, discusses its features and what is best used for and demonstrates how to fit the splint.

• Ulnar deviation is common in clients with rheumatoid arthritis. Alison discusses how ulnar deviation occurs and limits the clients hand movement. 
• The NRX Ulnar deviation splint is designed as a volar platform with a mouldable metal core covered in NRX material. 
• The metal core can be adjusted and shaped to provide stability to the MCP joints and to hold the palmer arch.
• It can be used in the day or at night, also useful to separate the finger and to assist palm hygiene.
